Welcome to Yo’ Care South Sudan. We are so glad to go live at last. The waiting is now over! This is good news for our partners, volunteers, stakeholders, and the general public. This is our digital presence, which serves as the portal in which you will find the information you need about us: who we are, what we do, where we work, and how you can participate in our vision, that’s nurturing healthier societies in South Sudan and beyond.

Who Are We?
Yo’ Care South Sudan is a non-for-profit non-governmental organization founded in 2009 to tackle the issues facing the people of South Sudan such as health, nutrition, and WASH. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene are big topics today when it comes to public health.
According to UNICEF:
“Giving birth on the floor, cutting the umbilical cord with a stick. That is the reality for some women in South Sudan.1“

We are in full agreement with such a statement. We, the Yo’ Care family, most of us were born and raised in this country. South Sudan is still a new state, and this comes with many challenges facing the people living in this country, day and night. Thus, we exist to improve people’s lives each and every day, and this is our mission, which is the engine behind every activity we carry out.

What Do We Do?
We nurture healthier societies through all our activities mentioned above, and in the mission of the organization. We focus on health, nutrition, and WASH. We strongly believe that if people eat well, no matter how small the food is in the amount and quantity, yet reach in nutrients their bodies need, we can achieve smaller goals within the big goal: Nurturing Healthier Societies.
We believe that good nutrition plus good hygiene equals good health. In short, Nutrition + WASH = Health, and this is our equation.
Where Do We Work?
At the time of this writing, we are based in Juba, the capital city of the Republic of South Sudan, but we have focus areas in Wau, Bor, and Rumbek. That means we are present in two of the main regions of the country, and we are moving forward, even to the Greater Upper Nile.
